Every year, countless laptops go unused while people in our communities struggle without access to technology. We give those devices a new purpose by restoring donated laptops and given them to those who need an opportunity to learn, work, connect, and grow. One device can change a future.
About Us
Second Chance Tech is a year-round community campaign operated by Tek Forward with a mission to give technology a second life while creating new opportunities for people in need. Through donated laptops and volunteer support, devices that might otherwise go unused are cleaned, repaired, restored, and placed into the hands of students, families, veterans, seniors, job seekers, and others who can benefit from access to technology. More than a donation drive, Second Chance Tech is a community effort built on the belief that one act of generosity can help power someone’s future.
We Take Your Laptop If
* It works just fine
* Does not turn on
* Has a Broken screen
* Bad batteries
* RAM issues
* Hard Drive Failures
* Broken Keyboards
We are unable to take laptops with liquid damage
What We Do
* Replace broken parts, if possible
* Clean outside of laptop
* Securely wipe and reset hard drive.
* Install ChromeOS
* Work with local organizations to find someone to benefit from laptop
- We include a class along with laptop
If we are unable to use laptop, it will be disposed off properly
During the month of June, Drop off at any of these locations and get a free treat on us
